Today marks the end of my PhD journey after 4 years of study. I am beyond happy to announce that I had successfully defended my doctoral thesis today with minor corrections. Wow, what a feeling???!!! It is definitely a feeling that no words can describe….a culmination of lots of mixed emotions, thinking back of how i survived over the years juggling my time between work and PhD. When the result was announced, that feeling of every sacrifice and hardwork had paid off is definitely worth every bit of it!!
.

I still remember very vividly the 1st day I stepped foot at the Graduate School of Business, UKM. From that day onwards, it has been nothing but an endearing journey for me. I have never had a learning curve as I did in my PhD….and this has been a lifelong learning experience for me. I have never looked forward to studying much in the past but i really did enjoy during the course of my PhD journey. This is attributed to all the academic staff who were very encouraging and motivating and giving us hope that we have what it takes to earn ourselves a PhD…..only sky is the limit!! I looked forward to my article reading, my discussions with friends/classmates and support groups where i valued active scholarly discussions.

I was fortunate to have had Prof Dr Arawati Agus as my supervisor who guided and ensured that i never deviated from my path. I am deeply grateful to her for all the knowledge she had imparted in me right from the inception of my PhD journey. I am also deeply indebted to Prof Dr T Ramayah for guiding me throughout the course of data analysis. And also to my external examiner, Prof Dr Khulida Kirana and internal examiner, Prof Madya Dr Khairul Anwar, many thanks for your constructive comments which has helped in improving the quality of my thesis.

I am so over the moon today….super happy, super excited and truly grateful to GOD for easing this task for me. And lastly, PhD was never a scary path for me….it was a journey of excitement, learning and a process of exerting our thinking of how deep down the rabbit hole we can go! The learning still continues….it is a process that never ends!!!
